Market Job Description

The Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division of Wells Fargo Wholesale coordinates client coverage and effectively align our resources and capabilities to meet the needs of our clients.

Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) is one of the largest groups within EMEA.

The EMEA BCM COO Office team, led by the BCM COO works closely with the Head of BCM and the lines of Businesses as well as ICOO teams

Responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in both the medium and long-term planning and strategy execution for the LOBs. This includes working on the annual strategic plan and financial budgets
o Execute and implement a robust EMEA strategy alongside with EMEA LOB heads to effectively align the short term and long term business objectives and vision and values with the broader LOB strategy
o Plan for and evaluate impact to the business of industry and global trends, then design and implement solutions to meet industry requirements.
2. Manage new initiatives and strategic projects across EMEA, as requested by the BCM COO and Head of LOB or self identified.
o Develop project plans, frame and conduct insightful analyses, identify solutions and develop a business case and an implementation plan
o Undertake implementation of developed solutions/plans as necessary
o Play a leadership role in coordinating and establishing new product modification, policy and procedures and approval initiatives ensuring compliance with the relevant internal policies and external regulatory rules and guidance.
3. Implement ongoing management disciplines – team meetings, partner calls, account planning, forward calendar, portfolio reviews, etc
o Assist in pipeline management calls, preparing the materials and tracking opportunities.
o Organize and co-ordinate pipeline management calls
o Review administrative policy
4. Own and Coordinate the drafting of Business updates for various governance meetings
o Includes preparing discussion documents for various senior leaders meetings
5. Conduct in-depth financial and qualitative analysis of monthly financial statements, lead development of solutions and recommendations to enhance performance in the region.Working with finance and analytics teams
o Assist the Management team and team members with tracking missing revenue for their financials statements using the various systems (eg Profit view)
o Resolve queries in a timely manner
o Use various tools and systems and MI to analyse and help the region manage client and business performance
o Financial accounting and analysis, including project budgeting and forecasting
6. Drive project and process implementation (CRM, data cleanup, use of offshoring)
7. Establish and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including LOB teams, product / coverage partners and support teams including:
o Work with the

s team to design, implement, find ways to operationalize controls as well as writing / input into procedures development
o Work with the Technology and Operations leaders to develop and deliver on a short and long term technology and operations strategy.
o Work with Legal counsel on the many legal inquires, including legal hold objectives, lawsuit dispensation
o Work with HR Business Partner to ensure successful delivery of the people’s plan
 Input to setting KPIs and MBOs
8. Facilitate a consistent and coordinated communications plan and messaging across EMEA LOB Business
9. Operates at all time with an enterprise mindset to ensure alignment, consistency and shareholder value
10. Develop a strong knowledge of Wells Fargo products and systems, and be able to understand the applicability of these to relationship management teams

Market Skills and Certifications

 

Skills/Experience Required:

Required Qualifications:
1. corporate and investment banking industry experience
2. Knowledge and understanding of financial, accounting, economic, and modeling concepts
3. Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis
4. Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
5. Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
6. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
7. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
8. Broad conceptual thinking and work-planning skills
9. Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn potentially new subject matter
10. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
11. Ability to travel to various WF EMEA and rest of world offices

Desired Qualifications:

1. In-depth understanding of investment banking and corporate banking products including Capital Markets, M&A, loan underwriting and portfolio management as well as other Corporate Banking products
2. Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and successful change management for large scale changes
