Digital Solutions Sales Executive – Transport

Meet our Team

The DS (Digital Solutions) group represent Hitachi Vantara to enterprise clients, establishing business relationships to understand customer challenges so that we can deliver profitable business for Hitachi products, services and solutions. This team specialises in the design and implementation of digital technologies to drive tangible business outcomes for our clients.

We collaborate as a team, working closely with both technical and senior commercial stakeholders client side as well as internal delivery teams to shape solutions. This is a highly visible senior sales role reporting directly into the EMEA VP of Sales, with complete responsibility for the growth of technology-led solution revenue streams and overall success of the Digital Solutions Business Unit in the transport sector in EMEA.

What you’ll be doing

Seeking to build strong relationships and trust with a small number of strategic transport accounts working closely with our global transport team and local colleagues to expand our presence outside of the hardware/storage market. Articulating our industry leading technology solutions, which include Hybrid Cloud, Application Migration, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, IoT, Asset performance, Video Intelligence and more. These combined with our transport industry expertise and in our sister companies such as Hitachi Rail and Hitachi ABB Power Grids, to enable your customers to realise the highest levels of success.

What you bring to the team

  • Knowledge and experience identifying key decision makers and selling to large transport customers. You have an understanding of market trends, industry challenges and how our solutions can meet their needs
  • An ability to think creatively and work consistently to identify, develop and close opportunities within new or prospect customers, leveraging virtual teams. You’ll be able to share specific examples to illustrate where and how you have done this.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets throughout your sales career, illustrating your persistent focus on supporting customers to realise required business outcomes
  • You follow and are passionate about technology industry trends and can share advice and expertise with your customers, extrapolating the business benefits of technology solutions to meet their needs
  • A commitment to contributing to the broader Hitachi ecosystem and making Hitachi Vantara an inclusive and diverses place to work where all ideas are welcome
