The department ‘Liquidity Risk / ALM’ develops and maintains systems for Erste Group in which liquidity, profit and loss and collateral data is being processed. For this purpose we gather data from all entities / subsidiaries of Erste Group and process it to provide static reporting, ad-hoc reporting and enable business to do proper data analysis. Working with us means to not only understand the technical aspect of a Data Mart including RDBMS Relational Database Management System / MDBMS Multidimensional Database Management System, but also be interested in and eager to understand the business side of our area.
Your role and responsibilities
- Develop, design, test, improve and maintain the Oracle database used for Erste Group’s liquidity risk, market risk and ALM
- Work together with Business Analysts and Business Experts in developing new features
- Write code which runs without any human interference and integrate them into workflow applications.
- Develop clean code, manage to work effectively with legacy code and love to improve the design of existing code
- Performance fine tuning on data base level and application level
- Work into a full Agile environment driven by self-organized teams and cross functional scrum teams business and IT. Direct access to business colleagues and direct interactions with stakeholders.
- Document work done including all details in tool used for scrum sprints (JIRA)
Your background and profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology and/or related discipline required
- Expert knowledge of database design (relational model, big amounts of un-aggregated data)
- Experience and hands on development in SQL, PL/SQL and ODI (must have), MS SQL and with Oracle more than 5 years in DWH implementations
- Strong experience with Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning
- Experience in performance tune SQL’s, application programs and instances.
- Experience with Deployment tools and processes, Automic workflow management
- You like solving problems and have the ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in an agile-oriented environment with a flat hierarchy and open culture
- You have a natural confidence with your communication and team skills, while being fluent in English

- A competitive and performance-related salary dependent on your professional and personal qualifications is granted – the minimum wage for this position in accordance with the respective collective agreement is EUR 50.652,– gross per year
