Senior Software Engineer (all genders) SWIFT

Your role and responsibilities

  • Design, specify and estimate requirements in regard of SWIFT transactions and messaging (SWIFTNet FIN, InterAct, FileAct)  according to relevant market standard e.g. ISO 20022, CBPR+, FINplus, etc.  and align with all relevant stakeholders, e.g. business analyst, solution manager, etc.
  • Develop insights and recommendations to implement (code) design requirements into SWIFT Message Broker Service (SMS), an on-premise legacy system of Erste Group SWIFT infrastructure (IBM Mainframe, PL1, DB2 IBM MQ, CISC)
  • Define and execute developer tests (functional / non-functional) and support during user acceptance test phases and you deploy developed Software packages into different environments (e.g. test, production)
  • Ask the right questions and dig beyond the surface to continuously improve SMS according to highest possible Security Standards (according to Erste Group Security Standards, SWIFT CSP, etc.) and Market Standards (state-of the-art platform)
  • Communicate with all SWIFT customers (currently 25 Banks of Erste Group within AT und CEE) in case of incidents, problems, change requests
  • Generate knowledge and create and update required project artefacts (user handbooks, service descriptions, security documentations, etc.), analyze and resolve change requests, incidents and problems according to defined processes and policies
  • Advice and support Solution Management / Management as expert for SMS
  • Participate as team-member to the regular agile planning sessions (Backlog refinement, Sprint planning, Sprint review, Retrospective, etc.)

Your background and profile

  • Deep experience in software development as Senior  Software Engineer  in an agile IT/Software environment
  • You like to work in a high-performance team and are able to build strong relationships with your colleagues to advance the business and have a customer oriented approach
  • You are willing to accept extraordinary working hours (be on standby or execute your tasks on weekend or bank holidays, if necessary)
  • Experience in Software Development network technology, firewalls, proxy environment, basic knowledge about SWIFT and SWIFTNet Services (FIN, InterAct, FileAct), SWIFT Standards (ISO 20022, CSCF, FINplus, CBPR+, etc.)
  • Advanced Skills in DB: IBM DB2 under zOS / DB2 Connect, IBM MQ under LINUX/zLINUX/zOS,
  • Fluency in English and German
