The Grants & Donations specialist will provide essential support to the medical function through the management of funding activities.
You will manage the Grant, Donation and Corporate Citizenship Sponsorships requests from patient and healthcare organisations and administration for overall external funding requests within Novartis.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Review all financial funding requests for compliance with internal and external regulations including P3 and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Advertising (ABPI) Code of Practice.
• Review all grant and donation requests for potential adverse events and provide a reconciliation to Patient Safety on a monthly basis; Conduct reputational assessments on all requestors and ensure that a 12-month spend report is generated for approvers.
• Chair the external funding approval committee – prioritising requests, ensuring pre-reads are sent and endorsement is secured from Medical, scheduling meetings as required and preparing and storing meeting-related documentation including Minutes.
• Review tracking for all financial Grants for budgeting, accrual and reporting purposes In conjunction with Medical and Patient Advocacy, responsible for the correspondence with requestors; Initiate agreements and manage the certification process for grants in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
• Responsible for recording and progressing Global requests for funding to UK institutions, monitoring and following up correspondence between reviewers and Global requestors by co-ordinating with therapy area medical and legal teams. Capturing the decision on the tracker.
• Manage the proof of performance of activities and reconciliation processes with requestors to ensure quality and timeliness of documentation.
• Provide input and expertise in the review and update of external funding processes, SOPs, training and communications.
• Management and review of external funding data required for the ABPI Disclosure requirements.
