Financial Analyst

Organisation Overview:
Supply & Trading (S&T) is the critical commercial link to the market for Upstream and Downstream & Chemicals. S&T buys, sells and supplies crude oil, refined products, natural gas and gas liquids to support Chevron’s crude and gas production operations and its refining and marketing network. The Midstream Finance department provides core financial processes, including decision support, variance analysis and preparation of statutory accounts to a variety of BUs. The Midstream Finance team work closely with the Traders, Partner organisations (e.g. Legal Tax, Treasury), US and Singapore Midstream Finance and the Finance Shared Service Centres in Manila and Buenos Aires.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Prepares monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial and management reports which include Earnings, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, General & Administrative and Trade Sales and Commentary analysis
Presents earnings/business performance analysis to Finance and Trading Management
Provides guidance and support to finance analysts on function code/cost centre/structure reporting and general front office queries
Assists with preparation of Business plans
Acts as primary contact for finance for non-routine matters. E.g. process changes, forecasts, implementation of new accounting processes and policies
Highlights accounting policy changes that impact the recording and reporting of trading related transactions
Liaison with external and internal auditors
Assists with preparation of statutory accounts
Represents Europe Midstream Finance on global and regional projects and initiatives
Develops complex financial models
Assists with development and testing of internal controls
Power User for finance and business applications
Provides back-up cover for other Finance roles
Required Qualifications:
Experience in financial analysis and reporting
Strong SAP knowledge
Strong analytical skills
Self-starter capable of managing routine and ad hoc workload with strong time management and prioritization skills
Comfortable with coordinating ad hoc initiatives and leading resolution of complex issues (systems, processes and controls)
Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders from both financial and non-financial backgrounds across different countries
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
