What You’ll Do
Systems Engineers in Cisco are technical leads that advice and support Sales teams with pre-sales and deep technical knowledge. You’ll get to work across a vast portfolio of Cisco products within the Service Provider and Enterprise Network Channel area and so a thorough knowledge of Enterprise and Service Provider technologies is required. You will touch a variety of Cisco technology solutions and Architectures as the lead SE for one of our Service Provider Channel accounts within EMEAR. You will be responsible for driving the day to day relationship with customer, end-to-end architecture insertion working closely with the Sales Account Manager.
This means close interlock with central account team, overlay and engineering teams.
This is an ideal position for someone who has a proven track record in working with customers, Business Unit and our managed service channels.

Responsibilities of the role are:
- You will become a recognized an architect on managed service solutions (including SaaS, hardware and software).
- You will build strong relationships with technical and sales leadership team

- Provides consultative support in the LAN and Datacenter transformation of our partners managed portfolio.
- Handle labs, demos, CPOC (Customer Proof Of Concept) with the partner.
- Lead opportunities till completion. Demonstrates ownership of complex projects / responsibilities and works to drive the project path and explores alternatives when problems arise.

In this job you will be / have:
- Have direct channel engineering responsibilities aligned to our managed channel partners for Routing/WAN/LAN/DC & Security Technologies and Solutions. You will work collaboratively with extended team members
- The is a partner-focused sales professional who is an architectural innovator in defining and developing architectures and roadmaps to solve SP business problems
- Providing a deep consultative relationship with the customer in collaboration with the account team, Business Units, and other teams to integrate replicable architectures and drive practice-specific Cisco solution designs.
- Able to drive SaaS and Software centric conversations at any level inside a customer’s organization
- Work with customers as a trusted advisor to identify key business and technical requirements
- Define and develop SW centric solution architectures to solve customer problems in multi-domain, multi-vendor environments.
- Build relationships with peers within CX in their area of specialization and Assist Services’ scoping exercises, draw on resources (particular services and relationships) in a pre-sales capacity and identify the best CX resources
- Excellent understanding of networking and SW architecture is required

Who You Are
- You will ideally bring 5+ years pre-sales engineering or technical customer facing experience in Channel and SP environments.
- You will ideally have BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.
- Preferably have CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Write and speak English fluently.
Skills
- Thorough understanding and deep dive into some or all of the following technologies: Routing/WAN/LAN/DC & Security Technologies and Solution, SaaS, SP Routing and Switching, Data Centre, Network Orchestration
- Knowledge of Cisco Enterprise Networks and perhaps SP products and Cisco certifications are preferred.
- Adept at using initiative, discretion and judgment to apply technical solutions to complex sales opportunities.
- Adept at customer interactions from the CIO through to technical staff.
- Knowledge of sales cycle.
- Impactful verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.
- Great relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience.
- Ability to work independently and remotely as well as with your team to accomplish objectives.
- Good understanding of the market space and offerings.
- Ability to train and coach others in our enterprise technologies.
