We’re looking for a Fully Qualified Finance Analyst to join our UK Finance team, specifically within the operating expenditure (OPEX) team. We’re looking for an ambitious individual who’s excited to develop their finance career at PepsiCo. This role will be based at our Head Office in Reading, with plenty of flexible working in the future (our office is currently closed).

What you’ll get up to:

  • The purpose of the role is to proactively lead the management the of the UK BU selling overhead cost base by collaboratively business partnering with the senior budget holders and functional leaders to inform and support spending analysis and cost/budget management.
  • The role plays a key part in the delivery of our financial KPI’s, ensuring timely and accurate planning, reporting and analysis.
  • Play a key role in change projects to support a continuous improvement culture on cost management and profit delivery.
  • Partner with cost centre owners, own and manage budget performance, resolution of accounting issues
  • Lead on implementation of process and systems improvements, design specification and resolve implementation issues of new systems to support more efficient and effective spend management and maximise the team’s focus on adding value
  • Maintain sound financial controls including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Play a key role in the team’s stewardship of overall SG&A spend, identifying opportunities and guiding the medium/long term productivity journey
  • Work with procurement teams to ensure productivity opportunities are validated, implemented in budgets and tracked.

Qualifications/Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Financial Planning/Forecasting/reporting
  • Systems skills – Strong Excel, financial systems knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail – accurate financial reporting and planning, robust execution of financial controls
  • Passion for spending money efficiently and reducing ‘non-value added’ spend
  • Process planning and management; able to develop and own the budget forecast process for own cost centres
  • Analytical skills and numerical judgement; able to explain variances, forecast spend accurately, design robust processes and systems
  • Attention to detail,
  • Well organised, Self sufficient & Proactive; able to schedule and prioritise many competing priorities to deliver independently against deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills and influencer;
  • Flexibility, and capable of dealing with ambiguity; Can-do, flexible resilient attitude – able to respond to rapidly changing/ urgent priorities
