Specification Sales Manager

The purpose of this role is to drive specification sales for the Draka Universal Cabling System into the end user and consultant communities.

Key accountabilities and role requirements are:

Set up meetings with key end user and consultant decision makers to understand requirements from their structured cabling system and position the Draka UC and Prysmian cable and connectivity products as delivering a complete solution.

Set up and deliver Continuous Personal Development (CPD) seminars into key consultants promoting Draka UC and Prysmian products. The required outcome is to generate requests for help in writing and preparing specifications and tenders.

Manage the tender process including the System Integrator relationships to ensure that Draka are successful in turning specification into revenue.

Through constant networking and prospecting build and manage a project portfolio for the Draka UC system to the value of £7.5 million. Identify key decision makers, ensure constant management of the funnel to the tender stage.

Work with Draka and Prysmian Product Managers develop the Continuous Personal Development presentations that will be delivered to the consultant community.  Take the lead in identifying which consultants will deliver the best return and execute the programme.

As a result of end user and consultant meetings and understanding their project requirements feed back technical and product opportunities into the Draka Product Management team to ensure that product development is directly market driven.

Ensure a high level of personal visibility with the key System Integrators to ensure that they choose to work with Draka on project tenders – understanding that Draka have a strong relationship with both the consultant and the end user.

Work closely with the Draka marketing team to ensure that lead generation campaigns and collateral is of high quality and targeted with the correct messages and content.
