Raw Materials Planner

Basic Function

This position plays a key role in site logistics materials management and planning.
This position provides a materials focal point to the procurement, manufacturing and finance organisations giving the necessary business controls framework for cost effective materials management.
This position deputises for other roles P.P.G. group

Roles & Responsibilities

1 Principle S.A.P.  user for inventory recording and reporting
2 Provides and controls materials related information for the plant and third party warehouse operations.
3 Ensures timely feedback to local manufacturing operations and local planning.
4 Monitors and reports all imported commercial stocks held at third party warehouses, including safety/buffer stock management and stock rotation.
5 Inventory status reporting for all raw materials, including inventory levels, aged analysis, consumption and disposals.
6 Supports local quality group in resolving materials related issues
7 Focal point for service and materials quality notifications (QP complaint system).

8 Ensures that LyondellBasell availability plan for ‘Intercompany/captive’  allocated raw materials is monitored on a monthly basis and that all stock transport orders are raised and recorded
9 Controls and monitors all aspects of Intercompany Stock transport orders for raw material resins from creating requisitions, converting to Purchase Orders and progress chasing all deliveries through to receipt
10 Raising of requisitions, recording, progress chasing with Suppliers and booking in to Warehouse all ‘non intercompany’ raw materials.
11 Co-ordinates with customs broker to import raw materials from EU and International areas
12 Liaise with BDP freight forwarders to arrange transport for goods from the port to the storage location

Daily liaison with Production Manager, Shift leader and Quality control Supervisor providing updates and confirmation of raw materials availability

Liaise with Master data and procurement to define new raw material requirements. Collate safety data sheets and product stewardship data.

Person Specification

 

Education:

  1. Educated to ‘A’ level standard

 

Work Experience:

  1. 3 years work experience in a production or materials planning control role.

  1. High level of IT competency

  4. Communication Skills – this role requires the holder to liaise with the Logistics team, the Customer Services Group and Third party warehouse operations
