Function Description
Responsible for the management and oversight of European projects and transformation activities for the Fire & Security (F&S) Headquarters Segment. Develop and execute project plans to track and report on key Segment activities to the Assistant Controller, Segment Controller, and Segment Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Provide Operational and Technical Accounting support on North America process changes, the transition of activities from, or to, business units, mergers and acquisitions, integration management, and consolidation of legal entities or control environments. Oversee and manage Project Accounting activities for all F&S Segments. Execute key Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance. Reports to the Assistant Controller F&S.
Discipline Description
Develop a process to manage and oversee key transformational activities for European activities. Track daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and with quality. Ability to communicate across the organization to ensure all applicable Business Units are engaged and meeting both internal and external project deadlines. Key business partner to ensure Project Accounting (percentage of completion) is performed in accordance with US GAAP and Carrier policies. Develop standard work templates and deliverables, monthly reporting requirements, ensure controls cover key risk areas, and provide governance and oversight of F&S Project Accounting. Engage in key projects and strategic initiatives to support Segment CFO and Segment Controller, as needed.

Work within and across Segments to ensure Project Accounting activities consider standardized activities
Ability to communicate and influence key internal and external business partners for all activities
Purpose
Own and manage activities related to European projects, which include all transformational, legal entity reduction, and mergers and acquisitions. Develop and manage the standardization of Project Accounting requirements in accordance with US GAAP and Carrier Policies. Develop metrics to manage Project Accounting changes to Business Unit CFOs and F&S Leadership. Key business partner to FSP European CFO and Segment CFO and Controller.
Responsibility Statements
Oversee, track and report on European transformational, integration, and M&A activities to F&S Segment Leadership Develop and manage the standardization of Project Accounting, key deliverables, reporting, controls, and governance.
Partner with other Segment areas on Project Accounting in order to develop a standard Carrier approach
Key business partner to FSP European CFO and other local European Business Unit Finance Leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related field with at least seven years of relevant experience.
MBA with a concentration in Finance with a minimum of 5 years related relevant experience
Ability to manage moderately sized projects or processes with a minimum of oversight
Ability to solve difficult and often complex financial/accounting related issues
Ability to complete analysis of current processes and make recommendations for improvement
Communicate directly with others within the same or different financial disciplines throughout the company
Strong communication, excel, presentation skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environment
