Role Responsibility

Key responsibilities will include:

The Executive Producer will lead on the News partnership, building relationships with key personnel across the News division and identifying opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
They will lead a team responsible for supporting and promoting the Young Reporter initiative, helping to increase its reach and driving new, younger audiences to the BBC.
They will be responsible for developing and delivering a new campaign, working in partnership with News, to support the BBC’s impartiality agenda.
They will collaborate across Children’s and Education to ensure that the work of their team supports C&E objectives.
They will build external partnerships with organisations that will help build the reach and impact of both Young Reporter and the new campaign.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking somebody with experience of – or the potential to – operate at Executive Producer or Senior Editor level, with substantial experience in programme-making or news. Your track record of delivering compelling content should reflect a deep understanding of how to reach audiences beyond the BBC, as well as a good understanding of digital content and platforms. Experience of establishing and delivering mutually beneficial partnerships is also key, as is a demonstrable interest in and understanding of younger audiences or education.
