We are turbo-charging Digital & Data across M&S.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the M&S Data Academy team (BEAM), delivering learning products and experiences with the purpose of accelerating growth of enterprise-wide data literacy, and cultivating a data-driven and digital-first culture.
This is a new role that will be focused within MS2, a key vehicle for turbocharging .com and C&H. You will be at the forefront of M&S’s digital transformation journey by playing a critical part in supporting the growth of data skills, digital adoption, and transforming ways of working to be data-driven and digital-first. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2-3 years project management.
Key accountabilities and measures
Working closely with MS2 leads and the BEAM Academy team, help plan and deliver the MS2 learning strategy, track progress against key milestones and manage key risks, issues and dependencies.
Lead the continuous review of the projects to ensure these evolve in line with the agreed strategy.
Ensure the projects keep to planned timescales and budgets while challenging the teams to move at pace to reach the transformation goals.
Identify new use-cases and opportunities where BEAM Academy can support MS2, collaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver learning experiences that add targeted value to MS2.
Conduct post implementation reviews when projects finish, to create an action plan of improvements for future projects and ways of working for the team.
Collaborate with MS2 programme team to generate an exciting communication and PR plan, driving positive engagement and adoption across key audiences that builds and fosters a community and culture of learning
Actively collaborate with wider stakeholders, especially D&D, L&D and HR, ensuring best practices and experiences are shared.
Build strong and effective relationships with the wider D&D & MS2 team, community, business leaders and key stakeholders
Evolve and uphold the BEAM Academy standards
Keep informed of new technologies and industry developments
Champion an agile way of working, promoting a ‘test and learn’ and ‘fail fast’ approach
Key skills
Project or programme management experience using either Agile or waterfall methodologies with skills in benefits management, business risk management and an understanding of change management.
Demonstrable experience working with multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver successful projects – with experience of engaging, influencing and communicating to stakeholders at all levels.
Has a passion for driving improved business performance through a digital and data led approach and culture
Has an innovative mind set and is adaptable and responsive to changing priorities.
A self-starter who identifies opportunity, encouraging new ideas and positive business change.
Results driven, self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.
A strong team player who is also able to lead and to challenge appropriately to seek more from the team to move the projects faster.
Understanding of learning theories, techniques, implementation, and evaluation methods (Not essential).
Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, including presentations and project reporting.
Is confident and effective in facilitating cross-functional collaboration, including promoting and leading change across various audiences
Has an interest M&S and the digital transformation agenda we are driving.
Highly organised.
