Warehouse Manager

Huntsman have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager, to be based at our manufacturing site in Duxford, Cambridge, UK. Duxford site is a key operational facility comprising of a manufacturing plant, Warehousing and office facilities.

You will be responsible for the daily operation of the raw materials warehouse and regional distribution centre. Leading a team split across 3 shifts, you will provide an effective warehouse operation that delivers against our performance targets, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, at all times.

Additionally, As The Warehouse Manager, You Will
Manage and prioritise workloads to deliver the required output in order to service the external and internal customers.
Lead and motivate the team to sustain a world class approach to 5S and warehouse organisation, identifying and implementing improvements. You will also be expected to maintain high levels of housekeeping.
Build a high-performance team and ensure associates are fully trained to achieve their objectives.
Measure, maintain and report department KPI’s.
Lead the implementation and evolution of our zero harm culture within the warehouse. You will also ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and all near misses, incidents and accidents are reported and investigated.
Ensure regular counting of stock, raw materials and finished goods is carried out and records are kept accordingly detailing any adjustments that have been made. You will also have responsibility for correct receipt and put away of all stock, in addition to the investigation all stock errors.
Manage FIFO within the warehouse.
Responsibility for Annual Stock Count.
Work closely with other members of the core Supply Chain team to ensure a smooth daily operation.
Manage local contract for FLT, service/maintenance schedule and LOLER inspections.
Ensure regular inspection and upkeep of all equipment within the warehouse.

Requirements

Work experience within a warehouse in a production environment, ideally within the chemical sector.
Proficiency in major IT tools including SAP and Microsoft Office.
Strong leadership and people management skills and experience. You will positively influence and act as a role model for the team.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
The ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and in control with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
The ability to respond positively to changing customer and work demands.
A logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
