Core Tasks
- Work closely with key Stakeholders to identify requirements for Business Systems and Business Enhancements which IT can enable
- Working with the Head of Infrastructure EUTD ensure that all Astellas Application data is secure from loss or corruption by adverse events, including but not limited to Virus, equipment or process failure, fire.
- Work with other Region IS functions to ensure convergence of service solutions and implementation of standard global processes
- Ensure that Service Provider operational billing is a) accurate b) within operationally agreed budget.
- Manage the EUTD Applications team to be the “trusted advisor’ and thus enable the business to get the IT they need to execute business strategy successfully.
- Understand the EUTD Business Strategy and transform this into clearly directed, beneficial and cost-effective IT roadmaps and projects; oversee projects from start through to implementation, excluding the project realization phase (this is the remit of ISS)
- Discuss with the business market trends, direction and projects to be pursued
- Ensure appropriate technical and managerial Go/No Go review of project proposals including the availability of cost/benefit/risk analyses (“business cases”) and consistency with IT-Governance rules regarding decision-making
- Participate with ISS in the appropriate selection of solutions and third parties required to support changes identified
- Leverage existing solutions from the IT estate and support the business to maximize the benefits delivered from project investment
- Ensure that initiatives generated by business functions are in line with the European/global approach and utilize appropriate tools where these already exist within the IT estate.
Your Profile
- Minimum BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Service Management experience essential
- Extensive experience of systems, network administration and project management(ca. 5 – 10 years likely)
- Staff/Team management experience required
- Experience in applying IT Infrastructure library (ITIL) principles, focus on operational processes and forthcoming applications.
- Experience with the outsourcing of Infrastructure service delivery
- Excellent skills in trouble-shooting within complex IT environments, managing critical customer situations, communicating complex problem descriptions to non-technical staff
- Excellent knowledge of network components and protocols (Ethernet, Cisco, MPLS, etc)
- High level of communication skills and of knowledge of English (verbally and written). Preferably knowledge and understanding of additional European languages.
