Overview

Are you interested in being responsible for the accurate and timely implementation of moderately complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and other product design data for commercialized tobacco products? If so, we need to speak with you! We are currently seeking a Product Data Specialist to join our Regulatory Quality Compliance Management department in Richmond, VA. Open to remote working arrangement.

Specific accountabilities include:
• Implementing new and modified product requirements in SAP and other applicable business systems. Communicating product requirements information to Manufacturing and other applicable personnel.
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in product requirements implementation.
• Representing the department on project teams for commercialization of tobacco products.
• Contribute to the development of project schedules and recommend timing of product requirements implementation.
• Identifying and recommending improvements to relevant business processes to assure effective transfer of product requirement data.
• Studying product data for accuracy and reviewing system audit reports to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
• Compiling and summarizing product data to create reports for regulatory, litigation, or routine business needs.

Specific Skills Qualifications include:
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Degreed candidates must have at least two years experience in working with BOMs and specifications in a manufacturing environment or related supply chain processes. Candidates with no degree and six years experience in one of these areas will be considered.
• Experience in product construction and applicable specifications, BOM structures, Direct Material specifications and Material Masters.
• Experience in cross-functional business processes related to the creation, translation, and transfer of product designs.
• Experience with SAP R3 BOM/spec transactions, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to analyze data to resolve issues; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to develop presentation materials and present to department management.
