We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager Utilities Operations to join us at our Manufacturing Facility in Richmond, VA.

You are responsible for planning, executing and managing both the building & process infrastructure along with the personnel for the areas of Planning and Scheduling, Budgeting and Operations for the MC Central Utilities Plant.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Lead & direct all personnel across 24/7/365 Central Plant operations to ensure all utilities are being provided in the most cost-effective manner to all buildings on MC campus.
• Create and manage all budgets associated with MC Central Utilities Plant including maintenance, process and utilities.
• Analyze operational and utility usage data to provide recommendations and solutions to multiple building leadership & management teams
• Lead technical Maintenance and Production personnel to troubleshoot utilities system issues and abnormal process patterns.
• Plan & Schedule all activities in Central Utilities plant associated building infrastructure utilizing CMMS maintenance management system.
• Develop technical training requirements and provide training guidance for all hourly technical employees.
• Determine project scopes, specifications and cost estimates for improvements to the plant equipment and buildings and provide budget projections for improvements.
• Provide operations oversight for Waterhub on MC campus in accordance with agreed upon contractual obligations.
• Lead and Participate in Plant shutdown planning to prioritize and execute major maintenance work projects.
• Plan and monitor maintenance work/projects on weekends and holidays to minimize disruption to utility systems impacting production schedules across MC campus buildings.
• Provided on-site and on-call support for all personnel and activities.
• Ensure department compliance with building, fire, quality, sanitation and safety regulations, OSHA and EHS standards/guidelines and ADA requirements.

Education/Experience Preferences

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred with 3-5 years’ experience leading technical operations.
• You have confirmed ability to effectively coach and lead employees in a team-based environment
• You can draw on knowledge and experience to resolve problems, identify needs, and apply logic / deductive reasoning to develop and implement lasting solutions
• You possess a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment. You can make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal supervision when required
• You can perform the duties within a manufacturing environment
• You can negotiate and build consensus for resource needs, problem solving and solutions with peers, subordinates and management through networks within and beyond the business unit or department
