We have an opportunity for an experienced Stores Officer to join our team.
This role is to ensure efficient and effective monitoring of stores requirements from all departments, ensuring that stock levels are accurately recorded. Maintaining integrity, security and cleanliness of the stores area and to receive goods and locate stock and tools for issue. This position is required to work shifts.
The key objective of this role is to ensure the efficient receipt and distribution of stock. Ensure the correct disposal of waste products, in line the Environmental procedures. Accurate data entry to the stock inventory system. To gain an in depth knowledge of asset components and subassemblies, and of stock locations. To inspect returned tools and quarantine faulty items and report as required.
In order to support 24/7 operation of the Terminal the role covers 7 days a week working, on a 4-week rota and includes some weekend working. The rota does not currently include night working, but this may change as the Port grows.
