As Business Development Lead, you will coordinate with stakeholders to develop economically attractive pipeline investment solutions and opportunities that are supportive of our growth strategy and business development initiatives. You’ll manage complex projects, programs and transactions, while influencing stakeholder, customer, vendor and regulator points of view. Creativity, initiative and collaboration with stakeholders to meet deadlines and drive transactions to closure are skills that are critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Identifies, evaluates, recommends and pursues new growth opportunities
  • Interacts with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
  • Anticipates internal/external customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies new and creative workable solutions with a view to maximize opportunities
  • Obtains results as measured by growth in EBITDA
  • Effectively leads project teams comprised of indirect reports; may be across functional areas
  • Develops and closes all opportunities that meet financial hurdles and strategic fit
  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects and programs
  • Develops innovative solutions to complex problems that improve performance, efficiency and safety
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, functional, operational, project or service objectives
  • Supports process improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field and minimum eight (8) years’ natural gas experience

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of commercial aspects of the natural gas and /or oil industry
  • Previous experience negotiating large pipeline and storage projects with potential customers
  • Comprehensive understanding of deal structure, contract terms, financial issues, and other aspects of pipeline and storage project development
  • Familiarity with tools and publications utilized for natural gas market and end-user intelligence
  • Preferred: Previous natural gas experience in the southeastern United States.

General Compensation Information:

This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual perfor­mance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
