As a Corporate Development Analyst, you will be responsible for economic evaluation of major capital projects, commercial contracts, partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions. You will also develop economic modeling and evaluate the viability of a project based on the revenue, capital expenditures, tax impact, and internal hurdle rates.
This role fulfills a key function that is critical for sound financial decision making by management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must for success.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Models the financial impact of contemplated expansions, acquisitions, and long-term commitments
- Performs due diligence to develop/validate assumptions
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure accuracy of assumptions
- Provides and communicates data related to financial assumptions, risks, and valuation of proposed projects, including preparation of decision-quality business cases for Board of Directors and management review
- Prepares internal presentations as needed
- Stays current on industry developments
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a technical field and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis & planning or engineering
- Preferred: CPA or MBA
Other Requirements:
- Preferred: Previous experience leading economic valuation modeling for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, expansions, and greenfield projects identifying, assessing and quantifying risks inherent in a transaction
- Preferred: Experience conducting financial modeling/valuation analysis, including DCF (discounted cash flow), trading comps, precedent transactions, accretion/dilution, value creation analysis, three-statement models and combined pro forma models
- Preferred: Ability to work independently, producing high-quality deliverables such as descriptive memorandums, management presentations, Board materials and other presentation materials
- Preferred: Previous experience conducting market research and analyzing general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization’s corporate development strategies and operations
- Demonstrates excellent project management/organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Working knowledge of financial calculations and statements, GAAP, NPV, IRR, etc.
- Preferred: Experience in oil & gas, energy, or midstream
General Compensation Information:
This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual performance. Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive awards.
