Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our specialist cancer treatment centre at Private Care at Guys which has been leading in new oncology treatments across London in areas of breast, colorectal, urology and haematology.
You’ll be joining our enthusiastic team in the provision and development of high quality pharmaceutical care to adult oncology and haematology patients.You will be required to clinically screen oncology and haematology prescriptions and support the aseptic services in the checking and releasing of chemotherapy. You will have the opportunity to cover the oncology ward with patients ranging from medical admissions to bone marrow transplant patients.
This role is located at HCA Private Care at Guy’s, where we bring world class private healthcare to people in London.
This is a full time permanent role working 37.5hrs per week. The salary being offered is competitive and will be dependent on skills/experience.Please note we will close this role early if suitable number of applications are received

Duties and responsibilities:
- Delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care to adult oncology and haematology in-, day-case and outpatients.
- Clinical Oncology Screening/ Aseptics technical and clinical release
- Participation in discharge planning, patient counselling and patient medication reviews.
- Protocol development
- Participation in multidisciplinary ward rounds and meetings
- Training of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
- Audit & research
- Clinical governance
- Opportunity for publication and conference attendance
Skills and experience
- Registered with GPhC
- Experience of working as a clinical pharmacist within oncology and/or haematology speciality
- Mosaiq experience desirable
- Possess or working towards additional post graduate clinical qualifications is highly desirable
