Job summary
As an eCommerce Trade Manager you will influence, strengthen and manage the relationship with internal business partners and external retailers. You will be focused on identifying ways to drive consumer consumption of Outdoor & Recreation portfolio of brands.
Your responsibilities will include delivering priorities within their customer accounts. You will advance the division’s Ecommerce presence in pure play and brick and mortar accounts while developing the online channel in all functional sales capabilities, including: Product availability, Pricing, Shopper Marketing, and Customer development.
You will help develop the policies and practices to “win” in ecommerce while working with brand leaders and agency partners on programs and initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the Ecommerce P&L including product selection, inventory, overseeing of design, product descriptions, customer programs and marketing budgets.
- Business development: business assessment, strategic planning, selling in of growth driving ideas for both short- and long-term growth.
- Partners with sales, content and operations to identify and maximize Ecommerce opportunities and increase business.
- Analyses and drives new market opportunities to create new demand for our brands and categories.
- Aligns Ecommerce business with internal and external initiatives to grow share.
- Manage and strengthen relationship with retailers, negotiating placement, brands’ share of voice and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee brand Ecommerce efforts with retailers to ensure on-time launches, promotions, and maximizing opportunities to drive incremental sales.
- Take the lead on understanding product line specific key business objectives and develop long term growth strategy through qualitative analysis and quantitative data
- Responsible for the reporting of key KPI’s in cooperation with Analytics team (collection, analysis, communication).
- Partner with brands’ marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive programs considering all channels and sides of the business.
- Manage the content required to support the product assortment. Obtain or develop approved brand and lifestyle imagery and descriptive copy as required.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Ecommerce by introducing industry best practices, standards and innovation
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities by brand, in retailer and country.
- Identifies and maximizes best practices by retailer.
- Identifies and implements relevant search strategies across content and marketing to increase brands SOV.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct and hands-on Ecommerce experience (preferably with Amazon)
- BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field
- Knowledge of Ecommerce product flow and web store performance optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven analytical and strategic experience with the ability to embrace the challenge of dramatically increasing Ecommerce revenue
- Strong quantitative ability and comfort with data driven decision processes
- Experience with budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
- Experience with managing and optimizing online marketing tactics with an emphasis on efficient spending to generate high ROI
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across lines of business
- Strong technical acumen & ability to act as liaison between marketing & IT departments
- Knowledgeable about the web and emerging technologies
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to learn, understand and converse around key business issues.
