0.1       PIT Operator will load, store, transport, and/or deliver units of sheets, in-process materials, finished boxes, and miscellaneous items; generate and maintain accurate records; and maintain clean and orderly storage areas and aisles.

0.2       PIT Operator will report to the shipping supervisor.

1.0       Primary Shipper duties/responsibilities include:

1.1       – following all safety rules and practices; report any unsafe issues to Supervisor immediately.

1.2       – read factory work orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to learn customer

              requirements and processing information;

1.3       – monitoring conveyor take off lines, removing units from the lines, and loading units into trailers and/or placing units in storage trailers or location

1.4       – checking load tags and unit counts to verify that they are correct and make sure all loads tags are scanned in to proper location or trailer.

            – ship all orders complete on same trailer.

            – read all instructions and follow all special orders in Witron Sysytem.

1.5       – inspecting finished units during the loading process to insure that they are free from handling damage, dunnage placed properly on top and bottom of material, straps need to be  intact.

1.6       – accurately complete loading and do composition report to verify what is loaded on trailer

            -run IPOINT report at least 3 times per shift and sign off when printed. No loads should be over 30 minutes on report.

1.7       – maintaining well-organized paperwork and place on Dispatch desk neatly.

1.8       – generating accurate bills of lading and make sure actual trailer number matches trailer on BOL

–           Loads to IP Juarez- BOL along with Proforma will need to be emailed so Aduanas can send paperwork to cross trailer.

1.9       – delivering sheet and/or in-process units to production areas as required;

1.10     – maintaining clean and organized work areas, storage areas, aisles and PITs- sign off on log daily.

1.11     – sweeping and cleaning trailers such that only clean trailers are used for our products;

1.12     – taking and maintaining accurate inventories, which will inccude stock takes on a bi-weekly basis

1.13     – stretch wrapping specified units;

1.14     – performing receiving duties and putting away all material recived

1.15     – performing other duties as assigned by supervision

1.16     – understands the importance of producing food-safe packaging products and committing to contributing and maintaining this facility as a food-safe processing environment. This commitment includes operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance practices, and cleaning practices involved in the everyday production of food contact products.

2.0       The Qualifications for PIT Operator are: the ability to meet the requirements of the job with or without accommodation; the certified ability to safely operate a fork lift/ box clamp  truck, the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ability to scan all material picked up with PIT; work SAFE at all times;  ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

2.1       The shipping supervisor evaluates shipper qualifications.
