Finance Intern

Arch’s 2021 Summer Internship Program is a 10-week program that offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry.  The program will provide a learning experience that serves as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills.  Working alongside with some of the most talented members of the insurance industry, our interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field.

The program will start at the beginning of June and run through mid-August.

The Finance Intern will:

• Learn and participate in how the finance team supports the operation of these companies
• Obtain a working knowledge of budgets and cost allocation processes
• Analyze and explain rationale for changes in costs across periods and budgets
• Reconcile amounts across systems and tools
• Test changes made to underlying system and processes.
• Engage with business units to provide analysis and response to their needs / questions
• Participate in forecasting activities including gathering data, composition of metrics, and creating dashboards and reports
• Support the development of the budget and cost allocation tools including projects to enhance those processes

The standard qualifications of intern candidates are:

• Junior or Senior undergraduate status or Master Program
• Must have at least 3.0 GPA
• Interest in Insurance industry or related field

• Strong MS Excel and analytical abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and an aptitude to learn in an evolving environment
