About the team:
eBay India is a small team with a fast-paced work environment and ambitious approach. We are setting up new business grounds up and re-establishing eBay in India.
Head of Business Operations & Strategy works closely with eBay India Country Manager on India Business objectives by enabling the delivery of business capabilities through optimization of resources and investment. This role is a part of India leadership team and has high visibility to eBay global senior leadership.
The Business Operations Team creates a clear framework to help the organization achieve results from its strategic initiatives.
We are looking for dynamic, customer focused, data driven, result oriented business leader. You will partner with the cross functional business teams and will be responsible for designing the strategy and execution/improvement of site level initiatives.
You will play a key role by acting as an anchor who will be working with various teams by driving the efficiency in return of investments for the initiatives.
Apart from owning the Business Operations you also will be required to lead a group of analysts. You will offer a strategic perspective, sound business judgment, deep analytical capabilities, and a synergetic working style. You should possess strong intellectual curiosity along with passion for achieving practical business impact.
This is a multi-dimensional role and the ideal candidate should have demonstrated abilities in juggling across different responsibilities simultaneously. Successful candidates would thrive in dealing with ambiguous situations and are good at using first principle-based thinking and be able to innovate consistently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of eBay India Strategy and annual operating plans by collaborate with all partners and stakeholders.
- Translate strategy to execution by working effectively on Cross functional initiatives and organization wide priorities; continuously evaluate the business performance and impact of initiatives
- Influence change and challenge current methodologies by presenting insightful analysis to leadership team that helps improve overall efficiency.
- Partner with India CFO and finance team on all planning, forecasting & reporting processes across eBay India businesses. Drive monthly forecasts, control annual budgets and prepare strategic business outlook
- Review landscape and lead operational execution of JV/Strategic partnerships. Identify new IN opportunities for external partnerships that fit in IN CBT Strategy.
- Run and own weekly & Monthly cross-functional review meetings.
- Partner with finance on all planning, forecasting and reporting processes across eBay India
Businesses – both long-term and short-term, including but not limited to Monthly Forecasts, Annual
Budget & Strategic Business outlook.
- Support India Country Manager in Ops review and Strategic Partnerships
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience with 8 years minimum in a related technical field (consulting, strategy, analytics, finance, pricing, revenue management).
- Leading through Uncertainty: Self-direct as well as handle junior resources on the analytics team and across the organization to deliver high quality outputs.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, with a blend of analytical intelligence and strategic vision.
- Collaborative personality with the ability to build relationships both within the team and across the organization to drive results.
- Expertise presenting structured recommendation to senior leadership team; Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of P&L; ecommerce knowledge is essential.
- Expertise presenting structured recommendations to executives and senior executives.
- Excel capable and familiar with visualization tools like SQL, Tableau or Qlik.
