Apple’s IS&T team is looking for highly motivated and talented seasoned full-stack engineer to produce scalable, enterprise class software solutions, partnering with highly skilled global and regional colleagues, in a fast paced and exciting environment. The IS&T Customer Systems team delivers key applications used in Apple’s Global sites, including the Contact Engineering platform and Contact technology tools used by Apple Contact Centers. This role is part of the exciting newly expanded Engagement Engineering team.
Key Qualifications
  • At least 10 years experience in software development with specific experience building software applications end to end
  • Experience as a full stack developer or similar role
  • Proficiency with server side languages such as Java and Python
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML5/ CSS, JavaScript, Progressive Web App, XML, jQuery)
  • Strong knowledge on one of the modern JavaScript frameworks is a must (e.g. VueJS, Angular, React, Node.js)
  • Familiarity with CSS preprocessors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries {{ e.g., Sass, Less, and webpack }}
  • Knowledge on technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JPA
  • Passionate about website usability with great instincts for improving customer support experience
  • Familiarity with building REST APIs
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB
  • Knowledge in cloud technology is a plus
  • Familiarity with web UI testing frameworks
  • Familiarity caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Description
We seek a strong technical background in both front-end and back-end development, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. No day at Apple is the same, but key responsibilities for the role include: – Design, Develop, Implement and Deploy enterprise level, high availability web application platforms – Design client-side and server-side architecture – Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design – Develop and handle well-functioning databases and applications – Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency – Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software – Build security and data protection features – Build features and applications with a web responsive design – Responsible for maintenance and improvements of the developed application – Manage aggressive schedules with cross functional teams to achieve large initiatives – Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
Education & Experience
Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related field
