Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Investor Relations Specialist. The Investor Relations Specialist will provide comprehensive organizational support to the investor relations and communications function. The IR Specialist will be responsible for tracking key communication activities and managing the Financial Calendar of events.
In this role, the IR Specialist will need to establish and continue to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including external advisors, sell-side analysts, large investors and senior leaders. The IR Specialist will be a point of contact for external advisors and liaise and direct external contacts with the Vice President – Investor Relations and Communications.
Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all investor relations events from content to logistics

Manage and monitor the financial calendar – results announcements, investor roadshows, ad hoc investor site visits, and investor days

Production of supporting materials for corporate announcements (internal and external) including Financial Calendar Announcements (with particular focus on PPT slides) and coordination with 3rd party suppliers – webcast, printers etc.

Relationships – establish clear lines of communication with key stakeholders including external advisors, sell-side analysts, shareholders, board and senior leaders

Responsible for all inbound stakeholder calls, queries, meeting and information requests etc. and follow through

Manage the IR content published on the corporate website and design updates; partner with internal and external design team to update site

Responsible for updating investor relations areas of intranet; partner with internal team to review content to ensure all material is relevant and up to date and design is current and consistent

Manage and maintain distribution lists including investor relations contacts and investor meeting database (Nasdaq).

Store and maintain up to date information available for all IR stakeholder meetings such as previous meeting notes

Track departmental spend and provide updates monthly, quarterly, and annually to VP – Investor Relations and Communications

Responsibility for the press cuttings portal and associated licences (Newspaper Licensing Agency, Financial Times), access and administration

Provide support to VP – Investor Relations and Communications by calendar and event management, submitting expenses, and booking travel

Coordinate investor relations stakeholder events and meetings that providing support, as needed, to senior leaders, board members, and other participants

Assist with production of monthly IR Board Report and keeping analysts consensus up to date
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

1-3 years’ experience in customer support, fund administration or client services

Knowledge/ experience of corporate communications and investor relations is a plus

Superior interpersonal skills, ability to interact with executive leadership, investors, board members, etc.

Strong attention to detail, highly organized with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple job functions

Strong problem resolution and project management skills

Ability to act independently and use discretionary judgment

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills

Understanding of annual reporting cycle is a plus

Comfortable with analytics, prefer business analytics experience

Knowledgeable and experienced in distributing material in an electronic format such as HTML

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standards
