LOCATION
The Permit Specialist Lead position is eligible for remote work or can be based in any of our Michigan locations (subject to office space availability).
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Gas Permitting department supports the strategy of being the Customers’ Trusted Energy Partner through building relationships and trust with our local municipality and owner-agency customers. The Permit department is responsible for permit relationships, acquisition, interpretation and execution for all gas distribution work across our franchise territory. The Permit Specialist Lead will lead a team within the department that is responsible for acquiring short-cycle, high volume permit requests for gas and joint/dual new business, as well as gas distribution emergencies, leak repair and cathodic replacements. In addition, the short-cycle team will handle restoration permitting when required.
