Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry including rock drilling, rock cutting, r loading and hauling and materials handling.
The Sales and Business Development Manager will be responsible for all business development activities. Execute projects of complex scope. Involved in developing new processes to meet project needs, and for designing projects to suit the financial, operating, legal, regulatory and operating criteria elements of a project.
Key Performance Areas
- Deliver key strategic initiatives for Sandvik’s Digital offering growth.
- Increase the market share and to penetrate to market with this offering
- Automine and Optimine Sales and commercialization
- Automine and Optimine strategy and business model development.
- Manage all Automation project sales within the Sales Area together with sales team.
- Active customer interaction and relationship management
- Sales pipeline management
- Sales budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Screen and suggest new offering opportunities
- Pricing analyses and recommendations
- Conduct internal Automine and Optimine sales training
- Active collaboration with Sandvik local and global account and sales management teams to drive the sales case
Financials
- Be aware of the financial performance of the business and seek to support the Sales group in growing revenue
- Manages Responsible for managing sales budget
- Responsible for digital offering budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Business Growth and Development
- To support the Sales group in generating business by providing assistance with Mining Application /Method Knowledge, product selection, packaging a number of products and/or services and developing value propositions, including product enhancements, that suit particular client applications
- Review Customer base and determine current mine methods used, tonnages and equipment used in these various applications
- Updating CRM
- Liaise with Product Line Engineers and Global Business Development, as required, to provide information that supports the ongoing development and improvement of Sandvik products.
Customer Service
- As appropriate, provide audit and consulting services at client’s sites for the purpose of identifying improvement and value add opportunities.
