Operational Readiness Manager

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry. The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.
Key performance areas
The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for ensuring the Parts & Services organization is ready for the introduction and delivery of new products and services. This position provides a consistent and standard framework in creating and implementing readiness plans. This includes managing the development and implementation of the new products or services, scheduling training and certification, mapping the service execution process and ensuring that the field service organizations have the resources, skills and tools for service execution, provide supply chain with recommended parts list and confirmation of inventory of recommended parts list. In addition, this person is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across the Parts & Services organization by streamlining communication and business processes to achieve overall service excellence.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serves as an expert resource to service locations that need assistance with implementation of business standards.
- Establish and lead the Operational Readiness initiative that ensures the Parts & Services Operations organization is ready for the introduction and delivery of new and existing services and equipment.
- Establish and lead the Operational Readiness initiative that ensures the Parts & Services Operations organization is ready for the introduction and integration of new acquisitions
- Conduct operational readiness webinars to promote field awareness on execution processes and standards for new and existing programs.
- Develop a process to track adoption of standards and processes that were delivered as part of the operational readiness initiative.
- Work with the multiple organizations to continuously incorporate Parts & Services Operational Readiness deliverables into their normal practices.
- Comply with SMR safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures
- Work with the different departments within the organization to complete the operational readiness deliverables:
- Work closely with the Parts and Services Managers, Product Masters, Trainers, Supply Chain, Finance, and Field Service Technicians in creating and implementing operational readiness plans.
- Ensure that operational readiness activities are aligned with the product/service roadmap as well as sales launch targets.
Your profile
The Operational Readiness Manager should possess a minimum of 5 years of related experience and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Project Management experience is required and PMP is a plus. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite are required.
You are driven and highly motivated, with a high level of initiative. You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders with ease. You are a problem-solver, with strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to effectively implement change and deliver solutions.
