Overview
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Senior Accountant, Revenue to join the Controllers group. This position reports to the Supervisor, Revenue Accounting in the Conventional Business Unit, (CBU), part of Pembina’s Pipelines Division. Pembina’s conventional pipeline assets comprise a strategically located network of pipelines and related infrastructure including various hubs and terminals. This network transports crude oil, condensate and NGL across much of Alberta and parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan and North Dakota. This is a 12-month term position with a possibility of an extension. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to:
Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare revenue and volume variance analysis including narrative write ups for monthly Scorecard;
- Prepare monthly revenue entries in accordance to IFRS 15 including Make-up Rights provision, deferred revenue, contract liabilities and revenue disaggregation;
- Application and interpretation of IFRS 15 to revenue contracts;
- Maintain comprehensive excel spreadsheets for contracted parties to determine annual settlements;
- Assist monthly revenue invoicing in accordance with contractual terms;
- Work collaboratively with other groups in preparation of the future performance obligation schedule;
- Liaise with key members of the Business Unit including Contracts, Logistics, Business Development and Commercial Services to ensure the accuracy of invoices;
- Communicate and collaborate with customers to address queries and collection matters;
- Maintain internal control processes and documentation;

- Special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of post-designation experience in similar or related roles;
- Bachelor’s degree (Commerce, Bus. Admin or related discipline) and professional accounting designation required;
- The ideal candidate will be energetic, resilient and possess a positive, can-do attitude;
- Proven experience with the interpretation and application of IFRS 15, preferred;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and dead-line driven environment; and
- Strong knowledge of all MS Office tools, particularly Excel;
- Motivated self-starter who performs well independently and within a team environment; ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities;
- Organized, detailed, analytical and able to consistently deliver accurate and timely information;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface positively and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders;
- Willing to commit to the 12-month term;
- Experience with SAP, PowerBi, and software implementation would be an asset; and
- Experience in oil and gas, and specifically midstream/pipeline industry would be an asset.
