Program Manager (Finance Transformation)

Edwards is looking for a Program Manager. In this role, you will play a critical role in our finance transformation strategy, improving our ability to deliver devices that maximize our patient’s recovery and quality of life.

This program manager aligns within the business and interfaces with IT. You will ensure ensure the ultimate success of large-to-enterprise-scale project(s) by managing all aspects of the program of projects over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close); and take our programs from original concept through final implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with project managers and team to gather detailed requirements to establish the project deliverables, and manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs to keep the project management plan updated and reflective of authorized project changes

  • Responsible for overall program delivery of individual projects with synergies and dependencies

  • Executes and leads the execution of tasks as defined in the project management plan in order to achieve the project goals, and actively manages project risk

  • Measures program performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify variances, perform required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders

  • Facilitates the creation and approval of business cases, and utilizes historical data and expert judgment in order to understand project limitations

  • Establishes and maintains team members and project stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications

  • Serves as a project and program management subject matter expert, including guiding and mentoring other project managers; demonstrates expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market, or product

  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

  • Ensures project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned are completed

  • Other incidental duties

Requirements (Your resume must include this experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Ten years (or eight years with a Master’s) of hands on experience managing projects

  • Must have experience leading finance transformation efforts: Clear experience leading the refinement of specific business process, data and or finance system optimization efforts

  • Hands-on experience with one or multiple of the following processes: Record to Report, Plan to Perform, Source to Pay, Acquire to Retire, Project to Result, Quote to Cash, Treasury

  • Experience with project management processes, techniques, and methodologies

  • Experience with leading and overseeing programs of work

  • Experience in managing finance projects and programs of work across business process, data management and financial system implementations

  • Experience working with agile methodology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience directly leading organizational change management activities

  • Experience with working with cross-functional teams including IT, extended business partners and third-party vendors

  • Accounting, finance, or business degree
