SOLIDWORKS Digital Transformation is responsible for the research and application of new technology, automation, machine learning and analysis capabilities to processes, customer engagement and support with the aim to improve efficiency, enhance customer value and uncover new opportunities.
As a intern within the Digital Transformation team, you will work on innovative analytics and platforms across the Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS services organization, including technical support, customer service, training and certification.
This is a paid, 6 month internship with a flexible start in 2021. Your will work with your manager to tailor your work schedule around your academic schedule. This role is based in the Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS Corp. offices located om 175 Wyman Street, Waltham, MA.

What will your role be?
You will be exposed to customized business intelligence dashboards on the revolutionary 3DEXPERIENCE Platform while investigating predictive models and algorithms for our clients and partners. Natural language processing and predictive machine learning will be a significant part of the role, so experience, interest and knowledge in these areas is beneficial.
Example activities include, but are not limited to:
Natural Language Processing Guided Submission: Develop and enhance Natural Language Processing models for a range of applications, such as guided issue submission.
Data Dimensioning and Categorization: Improve the quality of the services data by categorization, analysis and feature engineering. Allowing data to be more useful for machine learning.
Dashboard & Analytics: Assist in the creation of interactive dashboards, joining multiple data sources to create actionable business insights.
Your Challenge ahead
You will be charged with enhancing, further developing and deploying natural language processing models and machine learning. Specifically with the intention to help our valuable partners and clients submit fully qualified technical queries, find solutions automatically, reduce support turnaround time and increase customer satisfaction.
Your key success factors
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science , Data Science or equivalent for the duration of the internship
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 /4.0 scale
- Ability to work onsite in the Waltham, MA office
- Demonstrate knowledge of Machine Learning and Models in particular Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Python (Jupyter notebook, Anaconda, MATLAB etc.)
- Data pre-processing, enrichment and analysis processes.
- Well-developed communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Displays enthusiasm, curiosity and the ability to work autonomously or within teams
