Registration Specialist
Meaningful Work From Day One
This position is responsible for state brand label and package registrations for the domestic markets for the entire product line of Brown-Forman cased brands. Defines, develops, revises, and maintains policies and procedures associated with state label registration requirements and pertinent information pertaining to state brand registrations. This position is also responsible for solicitor permits in all states where required. This includes our Brown-Forman solicitors, as well as third party agencies who work on our behalf. Works independently performing duties involving high degree of detail.
What You Can Expect:
- Responsible for accurate and timely filing of State brand label registrations.
- Requires organization and proactive gathering of information from Brand Teams to get products registered where they need to be and by the specific deadlines set.
- Also works with state contacts at the ABC Boards, as well as customer service, pricing department, and sales people in the field.
- Ensures annual brand renewals are complete and timely filed with the states.
- Uses ShipCompliant software for majority of brand label registrations.
- Responsible for new solicitor permits and ensures renewal of existing permits in a timely manner for our sales force as well as third parties representing Brown-Forman in the field.
- Secures and maintains personal information from employees with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Keeps current on new processes within the states to maintain compliance with states regulations.
- Responsible for renewal of Assumed Names of Brown-Forman and its entities. Manages and/or leads special projects as required.
We Are Looking For People Who:
- Experience in compliance, state regulatory processes or the paralegal field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience OR 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Requires the willingness to acquire a broad knowledge of state laws and to fulfill all label registration requirements.
- Ability to effectively use and adapt to the computer software system that facilitates label registrations.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills required with the ability to focus on complex details amidst frequent interruptions with extreme accuracy.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply analytical skills and techniques; work independently and execute responsibilities in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in planning and problem solving skills; computer literacy in Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels in the organization and external contacts at state beverage control agencies and distributors.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience in alcoholic beverage industry.
- Experience or knowledge relating to TTB and state government regulations for brand/label registrations.
- Understanding of Brown-Forman internal systems and procedures.
