MARKETING REPORTING ANALYST
This role is an analytical role with primary emphasis on fulfilling pricing and reporting intake requests for numerous client teams, assisting in price development and setup. Extracting and analyzing data, particularly marketing and pricing data within multiple systems to help guide strategic planning or operational adjustments. This role will also assist with implementation of cross enterprise system set up within Consumer Direct’s sales system (SMART).
Responsibilities:
Data Research
- Extract data using SQL, Tableau, or other data management tools
- Analyze data (using Excel or other analytical tools), report results and significant data disclosures, update strategic output if applicable
- Submit data or reporting requests to the Assurant Data Analytics or Data Management teams, follow-up and manage adjustments
- Log and fulfill reporting requests within reasonable times frames
Pricing Support
- Log and fulfill basic pricing requests from the Consumer Direct or Connected Living teams and hit client driven or internal project deadlines
- Create, load, log, and QC pricing files to the sales system, based on costs assessment, proformas or plan code sheets and help facilitate sales program setup
Quality Control
- Actively check data quality, investigate, and report data concerns to management or operations support team
- Participate in user acceptance testing to support team projects, systems releases or pricing functionality.
Analytics Support
- Help maintain and distribute tracking documentation for key data fields, dealers, schedules, programs, etc
- Participate in project management and modeling calls with internal and external partners
- Provide support to management and marketing teams related to basic pricing, operational and strategic marketing efforts
Growth & Development
- Develop a strong understanding of the Assurant Sales systems, data flow, reporting tools and resources
- Identify opportunities for ongoing development in pricing and marketing knowledge/skills
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required – graduate or undergraduate study in areas of Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Math or Quantitative Analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing / Business, working in an analytical, operational or project support role
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a traditional marketing agency or corporate marketing environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with database management, statistical, quantitative, or pricing analysis
Other requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with extensive experience and advanced skills in Excel
- Experience with SAS, SPSS, or similar analytical tools
- Experience with Access, SQL, or similar database management tools
- Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mathematical aptitude and keen attention to detail
- Strong presentation, marketing, and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize, delegate and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 plus years of experience in Marketing / Business, working in an analytical, operational or project support role
- Knowledge and/or experience in warranty business
