The Senior Director – Financial Analysis is responsible for supporting the investment team in all aspects of real estate market analysis, asset underwriting, and transaction due diligence. The individual will be a motivated individual capable of managing detailed databases, investment reports, financial modeling, and due diligence materials while assessing complex projects in a timely manner while prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary underwriter for acquisitions, dispositions, and leases
  • Prepare market brief findings for CIO’s use in investor meetings, which requires requesting and analyzing data from Regional Market Directors
  • Help present financial analysis for acquisition directly to the Board of Directors
  • Perform market research and analysis for properties and markets considered for acquisition, development, or asset management
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and economic modeling to assess viability and profitability of potential acquisitions, developments, or dispositions
  • Perform acquisition due diligence activities including but not limited to financial analysis, lease and loan document review and abstracting, document review
  • Track opportunities to acquire, develop and manage properties in new markets. Perform research, analysis, modeling, writing, and presenting reports on a number of diverse geographic areas including growth opportunities, industry trends, policy developments & competitor activities
  • Perform GAAP and Disclosure Analyses
  • Draft financial analysis memorandums for inclusion in Board Packages
  • Listen to calls reporting economic conditions in our core markets and summarizing for senior management

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree requiredwith preferred experience in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field. Master’s degree in real estate development or business preferred
  • 7+ years of real estate underwriting experience required
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise
  • Thorough understanding of financial modeling, including structuring cash flow models and calculation of cash-on-cash yields, IRR analysis and discounted cash flow valuations
  • Proficiency in evaluating new business opportunities from both a financial and conceptual level
  • Proficiency in market research techniques
  • Aptitude for managing multiple daily tasks and longer-term strategic projects
  • Results oriented, extremely proactive, and highly responsive with great attention to detail
