About this opportunity:
The Operations Conventional Department is currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join their team. Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance & Reliability, the primary responsibilities will be to improve maintenance productivity through the effective planning of maintenance activities.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time employee position based out of Rainbow Lake and relocation to the area is required (Company housing is provided). Work scheduled is Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to liaison with all groups on site including but not limited to Maintenance Area Work Teams, Operations Construction Team, Operations, Asset / Pipeline Integrity and Engineering
- Receive work requests, prioritize jobs, and select work to be performed by priority and timelines
- Prepare work packages, sequence tasks, submit field estimates, confirm availability of tools, services, material and completing required documentation including planned costs
- Review and approve changes to plan and schedule requests by stakeholders; escalate as required for proper approval
- Responsible for adherence to the Maintenance annual budget through effective and accurate planning
- Responsible to plan maintenance work as required for specific integrated Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage schedule events, including projects defined as major maintenance
- Responsible to facilitate and attend all required meetings within the maintenance management architecture
- Work collaboratively with peers to share resources where needed as a result of business demands
- Responsible for creating a sustainable continuous improvement culture by seeking to improve performance and work processes to be more efficient, more effective, and safer
- Track and adhere to common KPI targets across multiple shifts and sites
- Responsible for adherence to the Work Order life cycle process
- Adhere to site processes, business flows, procedures, and practices
Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver’s abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
- As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments
- Trades Journeyperson Certification in any of the following is preferred: Millwright, Pipefitter, Welder, Instrumentation, Electrical
- Minimum 5 years’ Maintenance planning experience
- Minimum 5 years’ Trades or Operations experience preferably in an industrial Operation setting
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate work adhering to Safe work practices
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be self-motivated, energetic and collaborative
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, SAP, Primavera P6
- Experience in an industrial setting, sour gas facility experience is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices
About Rainbow Lake:
Rainbow Lake Operations offer some of the most technically challenging and varied experience in the oil and gas industry. The Rainbow District consists of sweet and sour oil and gas wells, with gathering facilities that send the production to a large central processing plant. The oil and gas is sweetened at the plant before being shipped to sales or used for re-injection. The district has more than 80 local employees and another 25 full time contractors. Relocation to Rainbow Lake is required.
The Town of Rainbow Lake is in the Northwest corner of Alberta, approximately 140 km west of High Level. It is a quiet, family-oriented community offering many different activities. In the summer, enjoy the Golf Course, or drive South of town to the Lake where there is a Campground, fishing, boating, and many other outdoor activities. In winter, the Multi-Use Recreation Centre offers Curling, Hockey, Skating, Dart League and a fitness center. Other facilities include the K-12 Public School, and Health Services Centre.
