Cadence is seeking a Senior Web Designer to be part of its dynamic web marketing team, which is focused on enhancing user experience to optimize lead capture, generate more self-service sales, improve conversion rates and delight our customers.
This position plays a key role in the overall marketing mix for Cadence and offers the opportunity to play a significant role in creating customer-facing websites for one of the industry’s leading technology companies. You must be confident enough to debate, discuss and influence internal stakeholders on new user experience strategies while partnering with business group leaders across the company to achieve visible objectives. This position will report to the Web Project and Design Manager in the corporate marketing department.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with product owners and campaign managers to create engaging web experiences that convey product leadership, increase customer acquisition and improve functionality for our web site interfaces
Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, and user flows to effectively communicate your interaction ideas
Create high-fidelity mockups and prepare assets for web
Expand upon existing template designs, UI components, and style guidelines
Design with an awareness and understanding of browser sizes, device capabilities, and product functionality
Utilize A/B testing, web analytics, user research, and best practices to help inform your design solutions
Work closely with web developers to ensure your designs are built to your specifications
Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience creating design for large-scale web-based experiences targeting B2B market
A portfolio of design projects required
Proficiency in design techniques, such as user research, concept sketching, storyboarding, UI design patterns, interaction prototyping, etc
Fluency with industry-standard design tools – Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud
Working knowledge of front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap) a plus
Knowledge of industry best practices for SEO and accessibility
Self-starter that can collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks
Comfortable working in rapid iteration
Excellent communication skills; proficient in English
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related UX degree is preferred
Some late nights (IST) required in order to overlap with San Jose, CA workday (PDT)
