An exciting opportunity is now available for an expert to support the growth of our IVD business in this dedicated segment, you will be highly results driven, commercially focused and will work closely with the sales team and distributor for IVD to support the sales process through your product knowledge on pre-sales demonstrations, application support, project management, tender process and marketing support, particularly in key account breakthrough.
To develop and increase efficiency for the dedicated IVD segment, you will manage the product and marketing approach together to consolidate our IVD strategy.
You will support strategic demonstration and business deals by your knowledge on Hematology product management and application support. You create links with HQ to follow/recommend and support in real time product/software and trends. You report to the Marketing & Sales Manager for IVD – Europe and will forge a strong working relationship with IVD Marketing European team as well as the national team in Italy.
As a subject matter expert, this role will be shaped by the right candidate, you will be a self-starter, with an unquestionable influencing and negotiation skills, energised by a varied and fast-paced role. Your responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales, in-sales application support to regional sales and our Italian distributor, especially on key account breakthrough and key project management.
- Collect, analyse, and report product requests from customers to HQ, working with the HQ team to realize requests for customers.
- Market research: Responsible for the investigation of main competitors in the region, including products, market dynamics and strategies.
- Product promotions, organise local promotional events with the local distributor or Mindray subsidiary.
- Product training with distributor and the team, as well as on site presentation of product and application training to end user.
- Tender management with the distributor team.
- Determines customers’ needs and requirements by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products
- Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analysis
- Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
What are we looking for in you?
- Extensive knowledge of working in a product specialist / management role within IVD capital equipment business is critical, with a specific focus on Hematology
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, whilst communicating in a positive and constructive manner with both internal and external customers
- Experience of working in a global business with interaction across various locations, considering the right communication method to meet the needs of the situation
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams, influencing the strategic processes
- Alongside a great eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure, you will showcase the right behaviours
- Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally
- Obvious natural curiosity to go above and beyond expectations

- Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English with the ability to work in Italy without requiring sponsorship
