OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time IT Support Analyst, you will act as the initial support contact for internal staff regarding reported problems or issues with computers and related technologies. You will help troubleshoot issues with computer hardware and software or escalate the issue to another team for resolution. You will explain basic concepts and procedures in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner for a large and diverse customer base.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Supporting hardware and software for Fastenal employees in all departments
o Handling incoming calls, emails, self-service Help Desk tickets, incidents and requests
o Detailing accurate information in the incident or requests forms
o Collaborating with colleagues and leadership to provide prompt and accurate customer service
o Resolving and escalating Help Desk incidents and requests
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially via telephone and email
o Understanding of computer related terminology
o Possess strong computer troubleshooting and problem solving skills
o Willingness to spend considerable time on the phone assisting Fastenal employees
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

o Ability to pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess technical support related work experience
o Possess or working toward a degree in Information Technology or related field
o Demonstrate knowledge of computer-related equipment with interest in technology
