Analog Layout Engineer (E11) CSPT
The Group
The charter of the CSPT team is to lead the market in selected technology domains with highly differentiated sensing and signal processing solutions.
Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization and Time-of-Flight that drive growth in our portable and non-portable consumer business. As part of our expanding business needs we are now seeking to fill key positions within the team.
Requirements
Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 7+ years’ experience as an analog layout engineer leading complex mixed signal IC developments from feasibility to tape out.
Candidates should have a strong knowledge of analog and mixed signal layout, tools flows and processes, including:
- Tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre
- Flows: Virtuoso XL requirements for MSSTA, Digital on top, Top Down Flow, Calibre v2lvs.
- Processes: TSMC 40nm and 180nm (including high voltage-HV variants), Global Foundries 55nm (including HV) would be an advantage.
Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required.
Knowledge of digital physical design flows and programming (Skill, Perl, etc…) would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be based in Newbury (UK). Opportunities may also exist in Limerick or Cork (Ireland) or Valencia (Spain). The candidate is expected to be responsible for:
- Taking a lead role in the physical design of high-performance mixed signal ICs including: driving large multi-site teams, project scheduling communicating with other disciplines (design, foundry, CAD, ESD, assembly, evaluation, test-probe, applications, reliability, etc…) and direct communication with key high-profile costumers.
- Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to integrate sub-system layouts into the full-chip layout and tape out for mask making.
- Continuing to improve CSPT’s physical design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce cost and time to market.
