Job Description

As a senior member of the team, you will have the responsibility to create partnerships with existing and potential clients, identify and develop new or improved service offerings and so grow the value of our customer base.

Key responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Business Manager and local support management, develop and strengthen client relationships for existing and potential clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and ensure their retention
  • Achieve organic growth in account base through proactive measures
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • With the Business Manager meet and visit current and potential clients on a regular basis to continue to improve the SGS market position.
  • Prepare quotations and assist in preparation of tenders.
  • Ensure invoices are issued promptly and correctly.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports for our clients
  • Assist the laboratory in prioritising work for important clients
  • Identify opportunities for cross marketing of services across clients
  • Provide technical support to clients
  • Monitor and report on client satisfaction issues
  • Communicate continually with the client base so they are informed on the status of their work
  • Ensure the business/s revenue meets targets in terms of services to existing and new clients
  • Develop, monitor and hit Key Performance Indicators for the client and sample administration teams.
  • To contribute to the running and strategic planning of the Environmental Business in Western Australia as part of the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Preferred formal qualifications including training or experience in people and laboratory management/operations
  • Previous experience in Account Management, Sales or Customer Service is a preference
  • General knowledge of computer applications, preferred MS office suite
  • Preferred experience in water testing
  • Requires initiative and creative attitude
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Great verbal & written communication skills
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation and determination to achieve targets
  • Excellent understanding of environmental market
