SGS are looking for a Full Time permanent Quality and Safety Coordinator to join the Perth team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To take local responsibility for the QHSE and OIMS System on behalf of the National QHSE Manager
  • Organise and/or carry out internal audits including publishing an annual audit schedule.
  • Organise and facilitate Nata and other external audits.
  • Coordinate and assist with all internal/external communication relating quality and audits.
  • To support in reviewing, complete, and submit full accreditation application documentation to NATA to gain/amend accreditation.
  • Coordinate and maintain the quality protocols/criteria in SLIM, this will include updating quality KPI values in SLIM.
  • Train local staff in Quality and Safety matters.
  • Organise and/or carry out management review meetings.
  • Monitor method validation procedures and maintain validation records.
  • Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality of data produced meets all required SGS standards and objectives.
  • Coordinate and assist with establishing measurement uncertainties.
  • Ensure laboratory calibrations and local quality documentation are in date.
  • Assist with Health & Safety training including rolling out of local initiatives and those mandated by SGS Corporate/Global, such as Safety in September.
  • Will be in charge of maintaining and updating the leading Health & Safety KPIs such as Take 5’s, Hazard Identification and training.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate TAFE or Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO-17025 requirements and applications.
  • Knowledge of WA regulatory Health & Safety requirements.
  • Sound commercial laboratory experience.
