Job Description
We currently have an opportunity available for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join our fast pace and diverse business. As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of timely and accurate statutory and regulatory reporting (both internal and external) for the SGS Australia controlled businesses.
In addition to the above you will also have responsibility for:
- Cover monthly reporting
- Treasury and bank relationship management
- Assisting in annual audit
- Preparation of year end General Purpose financials and associated reporting
- Adhoc tasks related to the maintenance of quality and accurate financial reports
Qualifications
- Degree in a Business / Commercial related subject.
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Statutory reporting experience including preparation of financial statements for listed and large multi-national companies, directly or through Big-4 accounting firms
- Experience in preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations;
- Experience in general journal preparation and posting during month end;
- Exposure to Oracle (or similar) ERP system;
- Good working knowledge of general finance practices and processes
