Due to the recent expansion of the Electrical Engineering Services Business, we are seeking an experienced and technically-focused Electrical Protection Technician to join our team. Become an integral part of this team whist working autonomously, this role could lead to a team supervisory capacity.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and technically focused individual. You will spend your day on the frontline of the HV electrical industry, performing electrical testing, commissioning and installation of HV electrical systems as well as providing client orientated service.
- Protective Relay testing & commissioning of substations and power systems.
- HV Testing of transformers, motors, circuit breakers and cables.
- High Voltage equipment inspection, testing and condition monitoring transformer or filtration and reclamation.
- Thermographic / Corona and condition inspections.
- Substation Maintenance.
- Willing to travel onsite frequently around WA.
- Compliance to Australian Standard
Qualifications
We value candidates who are self-disciplined and have the ability to work in team as well as autonomously. As a motivated self-starter, you will ensure success by having the following:
- Electrical Level “A” Electrician Licence (Must)
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering degree or diploma (Preferred)
- Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
- Familiarity with test equipment such as Omicron, Doble and Megger
- Proven experience of testing of MV and HV Switchgear, Transformers, HV Cables, Switchboards and Circuit Breakers
- Renewable Energy knowledge (Preferred)
- Experience in testing of Vamp, SEL, SEPAM, Multilin, ABB, Siemens, Schneider , MCGG & GEC relays.
