Position Summary:

 

 

 

The Electro-Mechanical Technician role supports Regional Dispenser Engineering including Legacy Products (cost reduction and quality improvement projects) and New Product Development projects.

 

 

 

We are looking for a Technician to support our activities in prototype manufacture, build and test. This will also include fabrication of new parts and reworking existing parts for developmental or production use. This is a practical, hands-on role, which would suit someone who likes autonomy, responsibility and the chance to work across an amazing array of projects.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Design, implementation, control and maintenance of test jigs, fixtures and prototype systems

Assembling, testing and troubleshooting prototypes

Electromechanical and electropneumatic design and assembly

Sheet metal work

Manual turning and milling

Rapid prototyping

3D Printing

Generating hand sketches/drawings and preferably basic CAD (Creo or SolidWorks)

Manage job requests

Generating progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, including documenting test results (MS Word / MS Excel / MS Outlook)

 

 

Candidate Education:

 

 

 

A formal qualification in engineering such as Apprenticeship (completed) / NC / SVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

 

 

Candidate Experience & Skills

 

 

 

Proven ability to find creative solutions and innovate – proven problem solving

Familiar with the design process and New Product Development

Design and integration of basic, low voltage electrical systems

Experience with basic pneumatic and electrical systems

Experience of basic logic control (e.g. Micro PLCs) is advantageous

General Lab/workshop best practice, including safe working practices
