Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a fun and challenging environment, to work on the latest generation of our Digital Automation Intelligence and Monitoring Insights offerings, while providing support for current versions. You will play a key role in delivering a variety of projects, designing new solutions, implementing new and existing UI elements, and provide the voice of authority around user experience for our suite of desktop, web and mobile products and across the wider business.
Specific requirements include:
- UI & UX
- Create, maintain and own an intuitive user experience across Eggplant’s suite of products ○ Research and implement optimal user flows and information architecture to help refine long-term vision and goals
- Collaborate iteratively with Product Managers and engineering teams to create mock-ups to facilitate implementation ○ Design user interfaces that make information easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find
- Take the lead on usability testing of prototype designs
- Create the visual language, set design rules and create working guidelines where necessary
- Work with Keysight’s Industrial Design team to maintain and ensure consistency with group-wide design standards
- Data visualisation
- Design and improve on the presentation of performance data, making it intuitive for users to consume
- Communication & collaboration
- Communicate ideas, designs and concepts effectively to the development teams
- Ensure progress on current work is transparent
- Branding & product promotion
- Create a consistent look across all Eggplant products that delights our users

Job Qualifications
You should be self-motivated and have a passion for good UX practices, new technology and application interface development. You enjoy solving complex problems and love everything about product design and communication. A proactive and energetic person with a desire to contribute collaboratively to the development of the team and the company.
Specific requirements include:
- Demonstrable experience in improving the UI/UX of desktop and/or web-based applications
- Experience in creating (low and high) fidelity prototypes
- Experience of iterative refinement of prototypes, including user testing
- Experience of working with developers and designing in an Agile environment
- Excellent knowledge of visual interface design patterns.
- A stunning Portfolio.
- Solid understanding of UI fundamentals, including:
- Grid Theory
- Balance (Asymmetrical, Symmetrical)
- Unity (Proximity, Repetition)
- Emphasis (Placement, Continuance, Isolation, Contrast, Proportion)
- Colour theory
- Colour Schemes (Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary (Split-complementary, Triadic, and Tetradic)
- Texture
- Point, Line, Shape
- Volume and Depth (perspective, Proportion, Light and Shadow, Patterns)
- Typography (Anatomy of a Letterform, Text Spacing, Horizontal Spacing, Line/height, Alignment, Typefaces)
- Imagery (File Formats and Resolutions, Image Enhancement, Editing)
- Expertise in at least one collaborative UI design tool, such as:
- Adobe XD, overflow.io, Sketch, UXPin, Invision, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience of applying, improving, and expanding a material library
