We are Telular – IoT for Tanks, Trucks, and Alarm Systems and we are in need of a talented individual to join us as we leverage and evolve our IoT platform for an explosion of Industrial IoT applications. Are you ready for this journey?

The Nitty Gritty
The Lead/Principal Software Engineer will innovate, design, and develop cutting-edge products as a senior member of a fun and innovative team that makes a real difference by delivering products that delight customers and are used as part of their daily operations.
You will play a key role in leading and evolving the architecture, implementation, and development environment of Telular’s IoT platform using your knowledge of cloud-based software services using Microservices, Java, REST API’s, and relational databases.
Here is a list of key responsibilities.
•Lead the technical architecture for a team developing IoT platform services for application developers.
• Develop APIs and sample applications
• Understand and implement platform services based on user stories.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other engineers, and “lead by example”.
• Drive improvement of operational efficiency through automation and/or process changes.
• Collaborate with embedded software, mobile, hardware, and backend software team colleagues.
• Other stuff as needed
Position Requirements:
What You Offer:
We have no doubt you have a lot of skills. We are specifically looking for someone with the following.
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ experience with Java, JS, Jquery, Spring (MVC, Hibernate, JDBC, etc), SpringBoot,
• Solid experience with development, testing and deployment of REST APIs
• Experience with SQL
• Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity.
• Demonstrable ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
If you have experience with the below, even better!
• Experience with cloud service providers, especially Oracle Cloud Services (OCI) administration and programming.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• C++, Linux
• Masters degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Service Oriented Architecture design and development experience
• Knowledgeable with Github.
• Experience in M2M/IoT industry.
• PaaS and IaaS offerings.
• Mobile development for Android and iOS.
