The Sr. Medical Information Associate Contractor is responsible for the planning, development, maintenance, and dissemination of clinically accurate and medically sound product information to internal and external customers. This role is responsible for establishing a high-level of working knowledge across all Shionogi (SI) products, inquiry management and drug information databases, and procedures.

 

The Medical Information Contractor will support the Medical Information team by ensuring successful completion of Medical Information operational objectives, as well as provide value-add services in support of Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons, Commercial, and Sales Training and Development.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Identify, develop, and update scientifically balanced scientific and custom response documents, Medical FAQs, and AMCP Dossier for all Shionogi Inc. products.

Provide accurate and timely verbal and written responses to medical inquiries from internal and external customers regarding Shionogi Inc. products and in accordance with all SOPs and Regulatory guidelines.

Evaluate and interpret the medical literature for relevant scientific data to respond to verbal and written medical inquiries and to maintain up-to-date scientific documents.

Provide Medical Information training to Shionogi Inc. sales representatives and outsourced vendors, as needed.

Analyzes and reports medical and scientific insights to key internal stakeholders to identify trends, data gaps, and unmet medical need.

Participates in expanded cross-functional teams to interpret and apply company and regulatory standards for medical review, promotional review, and review of ad board materials, managed care materials, press releases, and sales training materials to ensure content is scientifically accurate and medically sound.

Assists with education of key publications via dissemination of rapid responses to internal stakeholders.

Staff Medical Information booths at medical congresses.

Recognize, capture and report adverse events and product quality complaints according to policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Registered pharmacist; PharmD preferred.

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a healthcare environment to include at least 2 years of experience in Medical Information.

Travel may be required up to 20%.

Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience in medical writing is required.

Experience in support of product launch is preferred.

Demonstrated computer experience with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and meet established deadlines.

Excellent project management and time management skills.

Analytical, solutions-oriented, negotiation and strategic-thinking skills.

Highly self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks in a timely fashion.

Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ.
