Key Objectives
Reporting to the National Business Manager – Brand and working closely with marketing colleagues; Channel Marketing Manager, Head of Digital, Research & Insights Manager and Communications Manager, this fast paced role will be responsible for delivering excellence in brand marketing initiatives through the defined marketing mix. Through managing a dedicated team and working with relevant agencies, you will own and assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of Milwaukee Brand plans ensuring they deliver in line with brand positioning objectives and market share targets.
Working alongside Product Marketing Manager and team, you will also oversee a team of Brand Managers to develop and lead category go to market plans and strategies, driving market share acquisition and customer advocacy whilst meeting commercial targets.
Key duties
Leverage consumer insights to design and implement brand strategies, including brand and product positioning, brand messaging, and communications to build brand consideration and new user acquisition
Utilise the Milwaukee Marketing Mix to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting brand positioning and strategic product launches
Ensure timely, accurate and business wide communications of brand initiatives to both inform and instruct wider teams
Work cross functionally within the business, in particular the Channel Management team, to clearly define and understand key customer segments, ensuring all brand activities are designed to optimise customer experience and lifetime value
In line with business and channel objectives, effectively manage direct reports and 3rd party agencies to define and deliver;
-Instore experience program
-Events and activations
-Key business (Brand) events and initiatives
-Sponsorship program
-Merchandise program
Identify and refine target audience(s), regularly monitoring relevance of that target and identifying strategies and tactics to engage and connect our brands to our consumers
Champion “the process” to ensure brand plans are effectively communicated with Milwaukee NZ business unit
Working with National Business Manager – Brand and Channel Marketing Manager, aggregate and build annual marketing plans
Create, nurture and leverage quality relationships with aligned brands, individuals and ambassador
Budget management and reporting
Ensure the values of the Milwaukee Way are upheld on a regular basis
Ensure adherence to all OH&S and company procedures
Ensure all business activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards
Adhoc management duties, as requested by senior management
Skills & qualifications
Significant senior level marketing and leadership experience (10+ years)
Strong negotiation skills and ability to think on your feet
Experience gained in sales, commercial marketing roles that require strong influencing skills
Experience working with brand partners and managing key commercial relationships
Ability to sell a broad vision and engage people along the way – this requires strong strategic agility and the ability to deliver for today whilst strategically planning for tomorrow
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders
